I can't code. I built a SaaS anyway (in a weekend, with Claude Code).

Almost 50 new people joined this newsletter this week, so a short reintroduction first.

I'm Madalena, 35, mom of two toddlers, married to a pilot based in Poland. Ex-Googler, investor in early-stage startups, and building and scaling businesses is what I love to do. I run Madgrowth, where I work with experienced tech leaders to help them turn their knowledge into a business of their own. I also advise early-stage startups on growth, co-founded Favorite People (an e-commerce brand with my sister, now doing $2M+ in revenue), and most recently launched Mazo, my vibe-coded AI go-to-market advisor for B2B SaaS founders.

What's new

This past weekend I vibe-coded Mazo using Claude Code. I'd been using its Fable model, I was amazed by what it could do, and being the curious person I am, I couldn't go to sleep without seeing what I could actually build with it.

Mazo came out of wanting to productize my advisory. More and more startups were asking for it, and at some point a VC told me straight: "You've done advisory with three of my portfolio companies, but I've got 40 more." The day only has 24 hours. I needed to scale it. So: take my knowledge, put it together with the best go-to-market thinkers in the industry, and build something early-stage founders and solo operators could actually use.

I didn't want a chatbot with my notes pasted into it. I wanted something that thought through a specific GTM problem the way I do, and the way people better than me do. So I built in the real frameworks: April Dunford's approach to positioning, Kyle Poyar's on pricing, Anthony Pierri's on messaging and homepages, Elena Verna on growth loops, Wes Bush on product-led motion. All structured so a founder asking about a new pricing tier gets an answer that would hold up if Kyle looked at it himself.

I built it. Two days ago I posted about it on LinkedIn. The post went semi-viral: 35,000+ impressions, more than 60 people asking for access, 38 already using it as of today.

The point

It might genuinely be the best time in history to build something for yourself. After building this, I felt invincible, and that's because I have zero coding background. I built an entire SaaS from scratch, usable, good-looking, already getting great feedback, by myself.

I keep thinking about how many people I know are sitting on exactly this. Too many ideas, years of pattern recognition, a way of seeing a problem most people don't have, a body of knowledge nobody's packaged yet. The only thing missing is deciding to build it.

If you're a B2B SaaS founder somewhere between zero and $1M ARR, try Mazo. If you're someone who wants to turn what you know into income, start with the Builder Diagnostic.
